I want to name my daughter Thyrah and pronounce it Tyra. Is that acceptable?

Sure why not... Generally with proper nouns (names of people, place, thing) there are'nt any specific rules for pronunciation.

Others have that name.
According to Facebook, there's a Thyrah Clement in New Orleans.
About the name and the spelling, go to Girls names starting with T, scroll down to Thyra. Thyrah, Tyrah, Tyra are spelling variations.

I had a chat friend from US.. she named her baby boy as Ostin (a variation for Austin), so its all upto you..
