The difference between "kind of + article" and "kind of"
Hello!
I speak English as a foreign language and I am very puzzled because I cannot grasp the difference between the following sentences:
A) "What kind of object is it?"
B) "What kind of an object is it?"
I have seen both forms being used but I just cannot understand the difference. Could somebody please help me and explain what is going on here?
Many many thanks!
