Hi,
Is it possible to say?:
1. The Elizabethan Theatres had not a scenery
2. The Elizabethan Theatres hadn't a scenery
3. The Elizabethan Theatres didn't have a scenery
I know that the sentence
The Elizabethan theatres had no scenery is correct, but I'd like to know if the previous sentences are also acceptable...
Thanks Rip.
Sentences # 1 and # 2 are wrong. Either you say "had not got" or "didn't have".Originally Posted by ripley
