Advice - pieces of advice

Hello,
There are some uncountable words.
I learnt some of them and advice seems to be one of them.
So that means I have 3 advices for you! should be wrong.
Right would be I have 3 pieces of advice for you!
However, those are the British rules.
Is it the same for the American English?

Unfortunately, I can't remember the other words right now...
Maybe you can give me a hint...
