presented an award/presented to the rest of the staff/presented with severe pains
Dear teachers,
Would you be kind enough to share with me your opinion concerning the feasibility of the following sentences?
They presented an award to her.
present (v) = to give
The new employees were presented to the rest of the staff.
present (v) = to introduce
He presented her with a beautiful bouquet of roses.
present (v) = to give a gift
The patient presented with severe pains.
presented with = complained of
Thank you for your efforts.
Regards,
V.

Re: presented an award/presented to the rest of the staff/presented with severe pains
He presented her with a beautiful bouquet of roses... I'm not convinced about this one, I think it should take a direct object.... no 'with.'
In the last one, it is correct, but presented with does not mean complained of, it means the disease manifested itself with the pains.
