Should a comma be used after the date in this sentence?
Should a comma be used after the date in this sentence?
April 27, 2008 is the day our report is due.
I don't think so it needs a comma. However, my son got this wrong on a paper.
What is the correct way to write the sentence?

Re: Should a comma be used after the date in this sentence?
When writing the date in this format (standard in American English), a comma is always required after the date. Confusion may arise because in most other countries, the format would be 27 April 2008, which does not require a comma. However, in the month/date/year format, the comma is necessary.
