Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am on the right track with my intrpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

spoil (n) = archaic. The act of plundering; spoliation
God . . . will not long defer to vindicate the glory of his name.
defer (v) = hold back to a later time
vindicate (v) = maintain, uphold, or defend; clear of accusation, blame, suspicion, or doubt with supporting proof
The firm supplies goods on deferred payments.
deferred payments = payments to be made at some future date; payments extended over a period of time or put off to a future date. (Installment payments)
