"at the end","in the end" and "on the end"

Dear all,

Please give me more examples about these three phares.
I always feel confused about the differences among them.
Is "at the end of the story" better than "in the end of the story" and "on the end of the story"?

'At the end of the story' is the expected. 'In the endof the story' is possible. 'On the end of the story' is impossible.

An 'end' is usually a terminal point without dimension, and will usually take 'at'.
