Original: "If you were supposed to meet a friend at three o'clock, but you come to the place at quarter after three, then, you are late."

correction: "If you were supposed to meet a friend at three o'clock, but you came at a quarter after three, then, you were late."

correction: "If you were supposed to meet a friend at three o'clock, but you came at a quarter after three, then, you were late."

Alternatives

1. If you were supposed to meet a friend at three o'clock, but you arrived at quater past three, then you were late.

If you don't want to use the word "arrived" then try:

2. If you were supposed to meet a friend at three o'clock, but you came at quater past three, then you were late.

but it is not as nice.

Make sure it's quater past three! A quater after three is very 19th century.
