assurance = affirmation = assertion = declaration = guarantee = oath = pledge = promise = vow = word

Would you be kind enough to explain to me the presence of the following sentence in th contemporary English?

No assurances, oaths or promises will be accepted…

Hello Vil,

Do you intend the subtle difference in meaning of the three words or the implication of the sentence with their presence together? I think they can be used together with negative implications, as:
When only result by action is the need of the hour, simple assurances, oaths or promises are meaningless.
