Question Can you help me to correct this sentence?

Hi!
I know that this sentence is wrong in the part of the verb sit, but i don't know how to correct it. Can you help me?
If I were the teacher, I would have made them stand up instead of having them sat for this exercise.

have sy + V bare infinitive (sit): having them sit

If I were the teacher, I would have made make them stand up instead of having them sat sit for this exercise.

If I were had been the teacher, I would have made them stand up instead of having them sat sit for this exercise.
