Question Someone's nationality

When asking someone's nationality we usually make the following question: " What nationality is she /he?"
I wonder if " What is your nationality?" is correct.
Best regards,
Rosa Maria

"What is your nationality." is how an immigration official would ask.

In ordinary conversation, you would ask,"What country are you from?"
