Dear unregistered visitor:

Tonight I will do my homework.
I will be doing my homework tonight, so don't call me.

'Will do' simply let's the listener know that the action has not yet happened. It 'will take place' in the future.
'Will be doing' has the connotation that at some time in the future an action 'will be ongoing.'

I hope this is helpful,

Petra
