Dear Sir/Madam,
You can get to White Sand Island by a short ferry ride form the Chanungtha beach.

The above underlined usage is OK?

Your sentence would be understood by English speakers. It may sound more natural to say, 'by taking a short ferry ride.'

You could also say,
You can get to White Sand Island by ferry from Chanungtha Beach.
