Would you be kind enough to revise the following sentences?
The committee have mulled over your suggestion but have decided not to accept it because of the cost.
We have to mull over the new proposal.
mull over = reflect deeply on a subject
Usually he makes a mull of his work.
mull = confuse, muddle
Their soldier were expendable.
expendable = not strictly necessary; dispensable
The cost of living went up several points last month.
Oil shares rose several points yesterday.
point = mark on a scale, unit of measuring
He can give me points of golf.
give somebody points = be able to offer me advantages and still win (he is better player than me)
His remarks lack point.
point = effectiveness, urgency
She made the point that further resistance was useless.
make a point = treat something as important or essential
His remarks were beside the point.
beside the point = beside the question
He was stricken in his soul.
stricken = affected by something overwhelming, such as disease, trouble, or painful emotion
He has a dainty tooth.
dainty = excessively fastidious and easily disgusted
Have you a good supply of reading matter for the train journey?
plenty of erading matter = plenty of books, magazines,etc.
Should the government supply the need for more houses?
Supply something for somebody = give or provide something (help to provide them by building them or giving subsidy or making loans)
subsidy = a grant paid by a government to an enterprise that benefits the public
What’s going on there?
There is nothing interesting going on here at present.
go on = appear in the stage

turmoil = instance of trouble, agitation, disturbance

roll with the punches = cope with and withstand adversity, especially by being flexible
Hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt.
hand over = release or relinquish to another's possession or control
