getting confidence/getting confident ?
"He's getting more confidence"./ "He's getting more confident." Are both sentences correct and do they have the same meaning ?

Are you using "getting" in the sense of "becoming" or "receiving/obtaining"?

In the first one "confidence" is a noun so "getting" is appropriate it means "receiving/obtaining". In the second "confident" is an adjective and you should use "becoming" rather than "getting".
