No other boy and No other boys
Hello, teachers:
I would like to ask a question.
I learned that it is not idiomatic form my previous thread but I still need to know because I saw the sentence structures in exams.
Hopefully, you can help me to figure it out.
My another question is what the difference between they below.
1. No other boy is as tall as Don.
2. No other boys are as tall as Don.
Thanks for your clarification in advance.

Re: No other boy and No other boys
Hello,
I am not a teacher, just a learner, but for me the difference is the following:
1. No other boy is as tall as Don.
2. No other boys are as tall as Don.
Sentence 1: You are talking about one boy.
Sentence 2: You are comparing a group of boys and Don.
Hope it's help you.
Cordially,

With the idea your sentence conveys, I do not feel the need for the plural to be applied. This, of course, does not mean that I am saying the plural is wrong.
