How to say "No hair on the head"

Hi all,

I want to know how to say it in real /spoken english if someone has no hair or almost lost all his hair. In my country, we would say "no hair guy" or "bright head guy"...but I don't know how would the native english speaker say?

Hi konungursvia, I understand this word. But when say "He is bald", will he be insulted? If yes, any other better word to describe it in spoken english?

Well, yes and no. It is the most neutral term for the condition, so he ought to accept it. But I know balding men are often mad about it.

He has severe/excessive hair loss.
His hairline is thinning or receding.

Yes, there are lots of euphemisms for male-pattern baldness. One of the most recent I've heard is 'follically challenged'.

There are also veiled insults in the same area: 'You can't see the join' means 'He's wearing a Toupée - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia '
