I'm writing a story about aliens living under the surface of Mars and would like to name it "Mars Caves". Being it a proper noun, I'm not sure if a should add an apostrophe or not. Should it be "Mars' Caves" ? Or just "Mars Caves"? Which one is the correct ?
Thanks for the help!
Hey,
"Mars' Caves" would be the correct, as the title indicates a possessive. Hopefully that helps!![]()
Actually, English allows a proper noun to act an adjective: India government, Israel envoy... I don't think it sounds very good, but it's in all the major journalistic style guides to allow it. So, Mars Caves is another possibility.
