Does it make sense to translate leaping lightning as rising lightning?
After a devastating medieval combat between mages and knights, all is shattered; in the sentence, the sword has magic powers:
He leveled the sword at the distant, leaning fountain, and watched the leaning stone topple slowly into complete collapse in the heart of leaping lightning.
We can guess the sword generates this leaping lightning, but I don't know what can leaping mean here.

I infer it's the same thing. The fountain, as a consequence of a big blast, has leaned hardly, and,of course, the fountain is made of stone. :-)Quote:
