is this sentence incorrect? I will not go to school today because there is no school bus that will come.
I was told that the "that will come" is wrong.
What about?
I won't be going to school today because the school bus won't be there (to pick me up).
In my opinion, I don’t think “school bus that will come” is wrong, because “that” is a relative pronoun and it becomes a subject in the following relative clause. Therefore, I don’t think “that” can be dropped in this case. Or, maybe, I guess “there is no school bus coming” is also fine.Originally Posted by Unregistered
Can the sentence be rewritten like this; “I will not go to school today because there is no school bus will come.”? I don’t think so.
It's not a natural sentence, though I wouldn't describe it as wrong.![]()
