Post difference between 'where are you living' and 'where do you live'

    Dear teachers,

If someone asks me "Where are you living?", he is asking me 'where do I live right now'. Is this correct?

Then, can you please tell me what it means by asking 'where do you live?'?

    Thanks in advance!

It means "Where is your permanent home?" It may be the same place as where you are living but it might not, if you are working or studying away from home for example.

    Where are you living(now)?
I am now living with my uncle and preparing for the examinations,
Where would you go after the examinations?
I will stay with a friend of mine for few days before living for my village..
    Where do you (usually) live?
I usually live with my parents in my village.

    I hope, it clarifies.
