Expository text
Could you explain to me what is meant by an expository text, please?
I'm confused as I read in a document that an expository text is a text that presents information about a certain phenomenon or concept. Then, I think in this case it would be an "informative" text. I would be also very grateful if you can suggest a link or an attachment in which I can read a sample of an expository text.
Best regards
Thanks

Hi! I'm not a teacher.
expository adj. = expositive.
expositive adj. descriptive, explanatory.

expository - adj. serving to explain: explanatory.
expositive - adj. serving to expose or explain: explanatory: exegetical.
(Chambers Twentieth Century Dictionary, 1976 edition)
