Would you be kind enough to revise the following sentences?
Last year they made several tentatives for a reconciliation.
tentative (n) = attempt, try
He proved to be the tentative precursor of Romanticism.
tentative (a) = hypothetical
It was only a tentative definition.
tentative (a) = working temporary
We must to work out a tentative agreement.
tentative (a) = preliminary, provisional
They have to make tentative inquiries.
It rang out a tentative laugh.
tentative (a) = uncertain, unassertive
Our experiments have led to the tentative conclusion that these mixed solvent systems facilitate cellulose reactions.
No particular vibrational mode can be suggested at present which might account for the correlation which must therefore be regarded as a tentative one.
In addition, the weak band was noted by some workers and assigned tentatively to an additional NH absorption.
Further evidence bearing on the correctness of tentatively assigned electrode reaction can be secured.

Last year they made several attempts tentative in nature for a reconciliation.
He proved to be the tentative precursor of Romanticism.
tentative (a) = hypothetical
It was only a tentative definition.
tentative (a) = working temporary= Not fully worked out
We must to work out a tentative agreement that can be executed after acceptance by all parties signatories to this.
tentative (a) = preliminary, provisional
They have to make tentative inquiries.
It rang out a tentative laugh not to be taken seriously.
tentative (a) = uncertain, unassertive
