    Exclamation Old English & New English

    Sir told us that Auxiliary Verb its old name of kind of verb now in modern english language its different name .. So is it true and also told me that where i can find modern english site.

    The term "helping verb" is also used, but "auxiliary" is by no means obsolete.

    'Helping verb' is used, but how many grammars and textbooks use it? Auxiliary is still the predominant term.
