hey guys,
just looking for an idiomatic expression or any other expression / phrase when one tries to depict a town that looks like the same town 50 years ago. Like coming back in time.

i was thinking about the phrase stepped in time but having looked it up, i cannot match it with the required meaning.

The town was stepped in time.
Does this sentence make any sense at all?

I would say lost in time "lost" would work.

The town was stepped in time. I think you mean steeped in time.
Does this sentence make any sense at all?

It may look like it is stuck in time, or perhaps like a throwback to the past.
