    Default this vs it

    Hi,
Any difference between the following 2 sentences?

    Sentence1:
I completed a summer job in a restaurant.
This is the evidence that I have the ability to work with other people.

    Sentence2:
I completed a summer job in a restaurant.
It is the evidence that I have the ability to work with other people.

    Thanks

Neither of them sound right to me. I would say that the first is correct grammatically, but it would sound clearer if you said 'This is the evidence to show that I have the ability...'. Even more straightforward would be:

"I completed a summer job in a restaurant, which shows my ability to work with other people".

Also, I'm not sure about the word 'completed' used with a job. 'I had' seems to fit more appropriately.

    Hi,

What is the difference between the sentence you suggested and my following sentence?

'It is the evidence to show that I have the ability...'
