Hello, everyone.
I would like to ask you about more informal, shorter and simpler expressions
for 'legal recognition' / 'legally recognized'.

(eg.) The same sex couples want to be legally recognized by the government.

= The same sex couples want a legal recognition by the government.

I would like to know if there is any other expression for 'legal recognition'
or 'legally recognized'.
More informal, shorter and simpler expressions are preferable.

I made following examples.

1:The same sex couples want to meet law.

2:The same sex couple want to be with law.

3:The same sex couples want to live with law.

4:The same sex couples want to go together with law.

5:The same sex couples want a legal credit.

6:The same sex couples want to a legal protection.

7:The same sex couples want a legality.

Are the above sentences acceptable for native speakers?
Also, I would like you to give me some other examples which stand for
'legal recognition' or 'legally recognized'.

Your eaxmples don't work for me- they want changes in the law that will grant them a legal status, so 'recognition' is the correct term. You could, also, as I did use 'legal status'.

I understand that they are not correct in the context.
Also, thanks for giving me 'legal status'. I haven't had this expression
in my mental dictionary.

By the way, the story want 'to legally recognized /a legal recognition / a legal status' goes on as follows.

(ex.) The same sex couples want (to be legally recognized , a legal recognition, a legal status) by the government,
because it gives them many benefits like tax deduction and social security service.

Actually, the legal recogninion / the legal status allows them to get benefits,
but not vice-versa, benefits allow them to have a legal recognition / a legal status.
The goal of getting a legal recognition / a legal status is to get the benefits.

So, can I use expressions 'legal benefits' , 'legal advantages' or 'legal protections' here?

I made examples.

(1)The same sex couples want legal benefits like tax deduction and social security.

(2)The same sex couples want legal advantagess like tax deduction and social security.

(3)The same sex couples want legal protections like tax deduction and social security.

Or, is there any other useful expression for this?

Though this goes beyond 'legal recognition' a bit,
looking at the situation from a wider perspective, I think the above three examples are the same with 'legal recognition' or 'legal status'.
