For the scenario above is it better to use #1?
If the scenario is an interview, I'd change it to 'would like' not 'want'. If you're actually talking, then I'd use either. If not, then the second would be correct. 'How is the pay' would get an answer about whether it is good, competeitve, etc. If you want exact figures, use 'what'.![]()
