Default Had felt / Felt

Are these correct? If not, why?
1. I wouldn't have called you if I had felt I had a choice.
2. I wouldn't have called you if I had felt I have a choice. (If 'have' is incorrect here, why?)

3. I wouldn't have called you if I had felt I had had a choice. (If this is wrong, why?)

Thanks.

1. I had felt I had a choice. (What's the point of past perfect here? Does this mean 'had felt' came first then 'had a choice' ? It doesn't really make sense?)
