What's the meaning
Hello there,
"He will be proud to talk to you"
Which description is correct?
1. He will not talk to you because of his pride.
2. He will talk to you proudly.
Thank you.

The second one is correct.
"He will be proud to talk to you" means that he will talk to you, for sure, and besides talking to you, he will do it proudly.

Neither one is correct. "He will be proud to talk to you" means that the act of talking to you will give him pride, in other words it will give him pride to have been asked to talk to you.

Re: What's the meaning
Thank you all
If I want to mean that "somebody will not talk to you because he is proud or because of his pride", do I say "He will be proud not to talk to you" ?

No, sy: "He will be too proud to talk to you".

Re: What's the meaning
In the name of the Merciful Allah,
To me," He will talk to you proudly" means that he will talk arrogantly, and not feeling honored because of such talking as " He will be proud to talk to you" refers to. So, these two sentences aren't alike.
And yes "He will be proud not to talk to you" means " He will not talk to you because of his pride"
By the way, I'm not a teacher.
