Default Age / Ages

1. A camp for boys ages 9-14 which focuses on adventures canoeing. (Is this correct? How come 'ages' is not 'age'? What is the subject for 'age' ?)

Thanks.

It would be plural because each child has their own age and there are different ages- 9, 10, 11, etc.

1. A camp for boys ages 9-14....( The sentence doesn't really flow though? )

Or are there some words omitted between 'boys' and 'ages' ? Like this:
2. A camp for boys (that have) ages 9-14...
