Hello,
I am confused in following two expressions, can anyone tell me which one is correct and why?
(1) If you are still facing the problem then please provide us your sample so that we can further investigate your issue.
(2) If you are still facing the problem then please provide us your sample so that we can investigate the issue further.
I think the second one is better option but don't know why?
Thanks
Peter T.
The first isn't wrong; you will hear people using it, but the position of 'further' before the verb is the problem. If you used 'more', would you put it before the verb? I wouldn't, so I wouldn't put 'further' there either.![]()
I appreciate your quick response. Thanks a lot for logical clarification.
