    Default the presentation day

    Hi

    Question:
Can I say “the presentation day”?

The idea I want to convey:
We aimed to complete our work before the day that we gave the presentation.

    Sentence:
We aimed to complete our work before the presentation day.

    Thanks

That doesn't sound natural to me.

Our goal was to have everything finalized the day prior to the presentation.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I agree. You could also say,"...the day before the presentation".

    Hi,

If I want to finish it any time before the presentation, what should I say?

    "before the presentation"?
    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks

That's fine, but I think it would be expected that you'd have it done by the time it was needed.
