Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
Iraq looks set to shake up the Middle East's oil hierarchy after the Iraqi Oil Ministry ended its second bidding round last week, awarding seven oilfields in a tender which could eventually increase the war-torn country's capacity to 12 million barrels per day.
shake up = subject to drastic rearrangement or reorganization
Any landlord who would not charge lower rents or any tenant who took over the farm of an evicted tenant would be given the complete cold shoulder by Parnell's supporters.
cold shoulder = deliberate coldness or disregard; a slight or a snub
I know something about it, I imagine.
I imagine it will rain.
imagine = assume
My sister is not so defenseless left as you imagine.
defenseless = lacking protection or support
imagine = to think; to suppose
In the night, imagining some fear, how easy is a bush supposed a bear!
They couldn't imagine how thew would do it.

I cannot imagine what you mean.
imagine = guess; take it

The company has undergone a major shake up in an attempt to improve its current situation.
Shakeup (noun): Many important ministers were forced out in the recent cabinet shakeup.
