Is the sentence "I’ve met a lot of people in the last few days." an approriate use of Present Perfect tense as I read that you cannot use the Present Perfect with time expressions such as "yesterday," "one year ago," "last week," "when I was a chlid," "when I lived in Japan," "at that moment," "that day" or "one day."

Hello Andrew, You are right we can not use present perfect tense with any action that took place in the past. But you can use it with any action that has just completed in the recent past. e.g. "I've me a lot of people lately". But "I met a lot of people in the last few days" would be more appropriate. These are my humble views. Peter T.

It's not only the recent past; it can't be used with those time expressions because they are all specific times in the past.
