New York as idiom?
Hello!
how would you explain me the meaning of New York in this phrase:
I started the rebuild of my system (say, Windows) yesterday but it crashed half way through new york.
It must be a sort of idiom, mustn't it? I wonder also, are there any other idioms with "New York", say nothing of "New York minute"?
Thank you!

Re: New York as idiom?
Never heard it before. Mind you, it brings to mind a busy, congested area, like the streets of New York. If your vehicle stops running somewhere in the City, good luck getting it towed in all that traffic.
