do research or research
Hi,
Question:
Should I say "research or do research" in my sentence?
Background:
In the first year of my BSc, there was a group research project about company shares.
Sentence:
John teamed with me, because he believed my ability to research/do research.
Thanks

Hi!
I'm not ateacher.
I'd write this way:
1. John teamed up with me because he believed in my ability to do research.
2. John teamed up with me because he believed in my ability at getting research done.
