    Default scared to hear

    Is this sentence ambiguous:
"I was scared to hear that you were on that train."

Meaning 1: I was scared WHEN I HEARD that you were on that train.
Meaning 2: I was scared that I MIGHT HEAR that you were on that train.

It is theoretically ambiguous, but the first option is far, far more likely.
