In North America we say "watch sports". Usually sports fans like to watch many different sports.

Sport is used both as countable and unciuntable noun. The uncountable use of sport is British English only: There's too much sport on TV. In American English, the plural sports is used: He likes watching sports on TV.
In India we use as both.
My favorite sports are tennis and swimming
Every student while studying in school must take part in a sport
