I would like to know the meaning "It" in the next sentence.
Itís all about having consequences for bad behavior.
A: Look at those parents. Theyíre going to buy the girl some candy to quiet her down. Thatís just rewarding her for her misbehavior.
B: What would you do instead?
A: I would set limits so that things like this never happened. In this case, I would give that girl a spanking. Itís all about having consequences for bad behavior.
(Not a teacher)
I guess it could be a pronoun for 'good parenting', however, it may just be 'dummy it', that is a pronoun with no real intrinsic meaning, whose only purpose is to keep the subject and verb required of a sentence in English.
