    I am Abodi,it is a first time to me in this forum, here I want give you a good rule,it is so good to use in an essay:
    (I)before (E) except after (C)
    such as:
    Friend
    Receive

    Hi, and welcome to the forums. There's one more line to the little poem: Or when said as "a" as in neighbor or weigh.

    There are actually many exceptions to this rule, but it's handy in many situations.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
