Here I am again . Would you please correct the following exercise?

Supply words meaning roughly the same as the ones in italics:

1.) They offered rises of between 8 per cent and 10 per cent.

This perdiod showed the worst strike we have ever had.

8.) I'm sick of strikes.
I'm fed up of strikes.

9.) The strikes are crippling the country.
The strikes are damaging the country.


I think that this are good exercises to learn vocabularies. But without any solutions I learn nothing
