"Our get-together had been mischievously delayed for a few times."
is it natural english? if not, how to express the same meaning in a native way?
Our get-together had been ___ delayed a few times.
Firstly, get rid of 'for'. I don't think 'mischievously' sounds very natural. I'm not sure what you want to say- irritatingly/unexpectedly???![]()
