Question semantics

Hi. I have been teaching English to foreign language students in Turkey and doing a research on application of semantics into language classes but I don't know how to begin. To show me the way, can you please offer me some feasable and communicative practices, conversations or dialogues to be used and studied in terms of their semantic properties?
