Half through
What does the 'to cut half through' means?
"The trees would be cut half through".
Does it mean that only one half of the trees would be cut, or they would be cut to half of their height, or they would be slightly cut (cut not the whole diameter of trunk(branch) - but part of it)?

It probably means they would be cut halfway through the diameter, more context might show a different intended meaning.
