Hello everyone,

at first, I want to say "thank you" to Tdol, for the explanations of these words.

Would you please correct the following cloze? If there are any mistakes, would you please explain to me why?


Everybody is convinced that the President's new economic policy will bring about an improvement in the American economy.

The gab between developed and developing countries is widening despite a growing flow of economic assistance from the richer to the poorer nations.

Furhter inflation would endanger our economy seriously.

She is an extremly economical housewife.

Effects of the presidents new economy moves were to be felt in every sector of the economics.

He is studying for a degree in economics.

Between the wars, unemployment was Britain's most urgent economic problem.

Many experts think that the economy has passed through the worst of the recession and that a modest recovery is now beginning.

He is a member of the President's Council of economic Advisers.

In Germany, the economics minister is usually a professor of economy.

The use of dried milk is highly economical.

Strikes will have an inflationary effect on the national economy.


By the way: What does "the gab is widening" mean?

were to be felt in every sector of the economics- economy
"the gab is widening"[ it should be 'gap', meaning space or distance- the rich are getting richer and the poor poorer, so the distance between them is getting worse.
