Does "over time" mean "some time" in this sentence ?
Over time, 3R came to understand the huge potential of this new product, and over the next few decades more than 400 varieties of Post-it products –in different colors, shapes, and sizes- have been developed.
* The highlighted sentence = It took some time for the company to understand how important its new product was and how many variations were possible.
Re: over time
Yes, that's what it means.
