Need understanding

In this sentence "It can be a portfolio resume style site or a proposed
site for an existing or artificial company or organisation." What does proposed site for an exisiting mean?

I'd guess, and I am guessing, that it means a website created either to sell to an existing company or for an imaginary one. :-)
