Hello all,
I'm having some trouble finding rules for style in lists.
Can a list have an intro and an outro sentence? E.g. -
" It was shown that a dog would:
* bark more loudly
* growl more frequently
* show more aggression
* become hyperactive
when fed this particular food. "
(I would assume that this construction -
" It was shown that a dog would:
* bark more loudly
* growl more frequently
* show more aggression
* become hyperactive when fed this particular food. "
is incorrect.)
Also, what are the rules for punctuating lists that include both full sentences and short phrases/words? (Use of capitals, full stops, etc.)
Thanks!
It doesn't seem like a list to me. Instead, it's a sentence, thus:
.
It was shown that a dog would bark more loudly, growl more frequently, show more aggression, and become hyperactive when fed this particular food.
